Biarsis Argus 1000 and Argus 1200 spectrometers are the high-resolution all purpose USB powered spectrometers. Argus 1200 with monolithic aluminum housing and with matt anodized inner and outer paint has lower noise stray light than Argus 1000.

The software of Argus Spectrometers is called IRIS.

Argus 1200 is a thin film thickness measurement spectrometer capable of measuring from 5 nm to 25 µm for the analysis of single-layer and/or multi-layer films in less than one second.

Argus 1200 thin film spectrometer systems consist of a compact USB spectrometer connected to a reflection probe and light source.

Optical properties are obtained from reflection and thickness is measured by detecting the sinusoidal fringe pattern from the specular reflection of the sample.

Applications include LCD, FPD: ITO, Cell Blanks, Polyamides.
